今天才在《City of Glass》里发现我喜欢的大导演和我喜欢的大作家间最迅速的联系。讲到在孤独状态中成长的孩子时，Paul Auster举了下面这例子：

Then there was the case of Victor, the wild boy of Aveyron, who was found in 18oo. Under the patient and meticulous care of Dr Itard, Victor learned some of the rudiments of speech, but he never progressed beyond the level of a small child.

这恰好是François Truffaut 1970年的电影《L'enfant Sauvage》里讲述的故事，Truffaut在电影里还很少见地亲自扮演医生Itard。
